IBIR

    For Indigenous Businesses

How IBIR Works for Indigenous Businesses

IBIR combines CPA-governed corporate scrutiny with Elder-guided cultural legitimacy assessment — the world's first dual governance framework for Indigenous business integrity.

Through a structured six-stage process combining independent corporate audit with Elder-guided cultural assessment, IBIR supports Indigenous businesses to verify their structures, strengthen governance, and participate confidently in procurement systems with integrity.

    Entry

    Starting the IBIR Process

An Indigenous business requests to be independently verified through IBIR’s Indigenous Future Leaders Assembly (IFLA) process and an independent auditor.

Once received, IBIR initiates both the corporate governance review and the cultural legitimacy review simultaneously - two parallel tracks that together produce a single verified outcome.

    Indigenous Business Council

Funds generated by IBIR are directed to projects undertaken by the Indigenous Business Council (IBC), a registered not-for-profit organisation.
