Since launching Indigenous Business Integrity Register (IBIR) in late 2025, IBIR has listened to community, industry, and the people working hardest to protect the integrity of Indigenous procurement, genuine Indigenous businesses.
Our role has never been about arbitration. In an environment where trust is integral to impact procurement and genuine benefit-flow, we exist to provide a more robust level of assurance and transparency.
IBIR is pleased to introduce an expanded service offering - Indigenous Business Structure Reports - a collation of publicly available, evidence-backed data that provides clear insight into ownership structures, governance and control, IP and business relationships, bankruptcy and credit history, and charity and organisational connections.
These reports sit alongside our existing opt-in Verification Program and Badge and Procurement Tracking functionality, and are designed to serve three distinct needs:
Community - providing a discovery tool to validate and publish structures suspected of black cladding
Government and industry procurers - supporting due diligence and safeguarding the integrity of Indigenous engagement commitments
Indigenous businesses - offering an opportunity to demonstrate structural transparency and build trust within the procurement sector
Reports can be ordered directly through our newly revamped directory at www.ibir.com.au from $120 and downloaded when available for just $49.
These fees have been set to ensure affordable access to critical information, while also allowing for service sustainability. We do this because transparency and integrity are the first steps in improving the sector and building economic self-determination for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
